The plot is ridiculously fulls of comedy works, showing the lack of spirit and ignorance of some people through the description of the madness. The playwright himself called the play a “pan-human ” work, “It shows the modern people’s incompatibility with modern society and social diseased.”
The madmen in the play live in reality and live in the imagination, playing the roles of themselves and others. All these different characters reflect different social problems.
Social illness, which is a term synonymous with the phrase “social problem” or “social issue” . Although the world is developing better than before, we can not deny that while the society is evolving rapidly, it has also brought many social problems, such as indifference, the gap between rich and poor, class solidification and social bullying. It is very common for people showing their abnormal personality what they are living in such a society

Homeless
Like his name, Homeless lives life from place to place, just like a vagrant. He suffers from the pain that he is keen to express and chat with others, but no one would like to listen to him, reflecting a social phenomenon: indifference.
This indifference even forced him into an extreme person: making an appointment constantly and even kill people. Because a doctor can not refuse a talking from his patient, and a judge must listen to a criminal.

Timidity
Timidity stands for those craven and oppressed people, acting as timid as a mouse. He is a bottom figure in society and a sufferer, being sucked and driven by the upper class, lives like a slave and suffers from the gossip and doctrine that he holds in his heart, which are the reasons why he acted so timid.
